1. Analytics on this website
We measure this website with PathClue, our sister product, in its default cookieless mode. The script writes nothing to your device; IP addresses are discarded rather than stored. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the analytics script doesn’t run.
2. Preferences stored in your browser
To remember small choices, the site uses your browser’s local or session storage (not cookies). Nothing here identifies you or is sent to us.
| Item | Purpose | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Announcement closed | Hides an announcement bar you dismissed | Until you clear site data |
| Language choice | Remembers that you switched language or dismissed the language suggestion | Until you clear site data |
| Billing period | Remembers monthly or yearly on the pricing page | Until you close the tab |
| Campaign parameters | Keeps the UTM parameters of your visit so a sign-up can be credited to the campaign that brought you | Until you close the tab |
3. The chat window
The “Chat with Cubby” window on this site is AskCub itself. Loading the chat button stores nothing. When you open the chat, a conversation token is saved in local storage so your conversation can continue; it expires after a day without messages unless you choose “remember me” (up to 30 days). It is renewed each time the chat reconnects. Clearing your site data removes it; the clear-history option in the chat menu hides earlier messages on that device.
4. Signing in
When you sign in to your AskCub dashboard, a strictly necessary session cookie keeps you signed in. It is not used for analytics or advertising and is removed when you sign out or it expires.
5. Websites that use AskCub
On websites that use AskCub, the chat window behaves the same way: nothing is stored until a visitor opens the chat. Those websites may use other tools of their own; their cookie notice explains them. Visitors can read chat visitor privacy for details.
6. How to control storage
You can clear cookies and site data for askcub.com at any time in your browser settings, and block them for this site. The website keeps working; you will just see dismissed banners again. Questions: hello@tapcub.com.
